Gadgets are a specified type of gear, usable for commiting actions otherwise undoable, or allowing their execution in the first place. Dune: Awakening will implement many gadgets, to help with mundane tasks and combat. [1]

Holtzman effect based gadgets

Holtzman effect is a theory, from which a lot of Dune's technology derives, allowing the negating the effects of gravity, foldspace and even shields. [2] [3]

Suspensor

Suspensors are gadgets used to lessen the effects of gravity on an object, wearing a Holtzman field generator. They can be used to slow down fall, and even fly upwards (possibly for the cost of power consumption). [4] [5]

Shields

Shields are a big part of the Dune universe, as such they will be omnipresent. Shields will allow you to mitigate (probably) all incoming ranged damage, and will effectively force melee combat. [6] [1] [2]

Shigawire

Shigawire is a very strong, natural thread from vines growing on a few planets. [2] [7]

Shigawire Claw

Shigawire Claw seems to function as a typical "grappling hook" allowing you to move to high ground quicker. [5]
