Spaceships in Dune play an immense role, allowing humanity to traverse the vastness of space and settle new systems and planets, including Arrakis. Althought most modern spaceships are not capable of foldspace technology (which allows to travel across galaxies in almost an instant), they are still used for transporting anything within a single star system, and to load on and off a highliner (ship capable of foldspace).

Spaceships are now confirmed to be in Dune: Awakening, although their use, and possible ownership by players, is entirely unknown at this point.
