Groundbikes are alike to groundcars in terms of viability. Being belted, they are usable at Arrakis for traversing the dunes without worrying too much about the worm, unlike with hovercraft.

Groundbikes in games

Groundbikes will be one of the faster, and less visible, ways of traversing the dunes on ground. They will be a useful way of moving fast either solo, or in two, as more can only hardly fit on a single bike. It does not seem groundbikes could have any armaments.
