Purpose / Ethos
House Artorius is a group of people who met online and enjoyed hanging out together. Originally members of another house they found that the culture of that house was not in alignment with what they were looking for in a House. The founding council split off from their original house and formed House Artorius as a place for Gamers who enjoy hanging out together.

House Artorius is formatted as a knighthood.
When members join the guild, they enter as a Page.
When they enter a formal trial process, they become a Squire to a Knight
If members pass their trial, they become a Knight

Guild Lore
Ket Fornos, the patriarch of House Fornos, was born the same year his father died. His sire: Jool Noret.
The first true Ginaz Swordmaster, Jool Noret died in 164 BG due to a tidal wave caused by a Hecate Asteroid Ship crashing into the sea near his location, and his school lives on to this day on the planet of Ginaz. Ket, as a child born to the creche's of Ginaz and named for his living mother, only discovers his lineage years later by a twist of luck when happening across a gene sequencer in a thinking machine slave pen during an assault cleanup operation in the Butlerian Jihad in 109 BG, a mere year before the victory of Butlerian forces over the machines of Omnius in 108BG. Ket Fornos is granted a Minor House status with the only successful offworld Swordmaster School to teach the Jool-Noret swordstyle of Abandonment.
700 years later; as House Moritani sought to solidify the emperor's rule; they began to root out minor schools teaching in the Ginaz style that were easily isolated from the primary holdings of House Ginaz. Stumbling upon House Fornos, they found and gained the ear of a young, ambitious noble named Eostonos Fornos who was in line for the succession to the Dukedom. Moritani began to convince Eostonos to overthrow his rightful liege and claim the throne of his house for himself. Eventually, having placed enough spies within the school to back up their coup, the now corrupted Eostonos abandoned his vows of fealty and seized the throne. He viciously sought out and murdered any remaining members that he could find with claims to the throne or loyalty to it.
Seeking a path to survive, the loyalists took shelter with distant relations on the far-off planet of Ginaz. They took a new name, to begin anew hidden, from the tyrannical Eostonos, in plain sight: Artorius. As time passed the danger to this new family line diminished. When it was deemed safe they emerged as a newly christened minor house, granted the protection of their benefactors - House Ginaz. This was the rise of House Artorius from the ashes of what came before
Seeking to avoid the kind of tyrannical governing structure that led to the death of many members of their family and the destruction of their house. They founded a governing structure with a council of equals providing natural checks and balances against executorial overreach. The first Artorius council took for their household emblem the Noble Phoenix as they sought to raise this new house from the ashes of their family's tragedy.
While the house they came from resorted to violence first, they, having seen firsthand the sorrow that this approach brings, sought a more well-rounded approach to conflict. Seeking diplomatic resolutions first and resorting to violence when other measures would be insufficient. Over time House Artorius developed an elite order of warriors who came to be known as Knights. This knighthood became the shield of the innocent. Seeking to protect others from the same tragedy that befell their founders and to avenge the injustices levelled against them.
But, alas, House Moritani levelled its sights on House Ginaz itself. The war of assassins saw house Ginaz destroyed and the survivors of House Artorius captured and enslaved. Taken to Arrakis members of House Artorius manage to escape and, being no stranger to adversity, begin their house anew amidst the dunes.
