Lasguns are an endgame subtype of ranged Weapons, that works differently than other ranged weapons.
Instead of consuming darts, Lasguns drains energy, making their efficiency heavily dependent on the tier of power pack used by the player.
After the destruction of Carthag by a shield-lasgun contact, all CHOAM-imported Lasguns have an automatic shield detection override, disabling the weapon if the wielder attempts to fire at a Holtzman Shield.
