Purpose / Ethos
To sow the spirit of hope upon the sands of Arrakis, to drink deep of its stark beauty and cleanse it of the unworthy. To be a gentle hand in a cruel world... and a sharpened blade by which the guilty are measured.

Guild Lore
They were outcasts—off-world prisoners discarded into the crucible of Arrakis. But in the furnace of exile, they did not break. They bound themselves into a single purpose, and thus was born the Order of Nine.
Drawn to the old ways, they drank deeply from the Fremen's harsh wisdom. From this, they forged the A.R.E.S. Protocol: Avenge. Rescue. Escort. Survey.—a creed recited in reverse, as a constant reminder that justice begins with awareness.
Honor, in them, was not ornament—it was currency. And it was this unbending code that carved their legend into the sand and stirred whispers among the people. Even the keen eye of Duke Leto Atreides turned toward them, recognizing not criminals, but potential.
Now, beneath the hawk banner of House Atreides, the Order moves through the shadowed crevasses of the Hagga Basin. They are light-bringers to the forgotten, blades to the lawless, and stewards of a world that swallows the careless.

Other Activities
Charting trade bound by honor and spice-profit... witnessing dawn or dusk spill gold across an alien horizon... stripping the scavenger of his spoils as penance... and crying out—not in fear, but reverence—beneath the shadow of Shai-Hulud.
