Is the game no longer an MMO?

While the term "MMO" has been removed from the website and official marketing materials, this has been to clear up messaging and setting expectations of the game, as so many people linked the term "MMO" to "MMORPG" games such as World of Warcraft, which sets the wrong expectation. The new messaging is "Survival Multiplayer at a Massive scale" - the game itself has not changed in it's scope or gameplay.[1]
