The House Moritani (HM), is a noble house founded by Krez, Jhordi, and Hundro. We are focused on creating a fun core group of quality players modeling the lore based history of House Moritani and a battalion of Sardaukar from the Dune books and movies.

Purpose / Ethos

House Moritani aims to grow as a significant player in the competing factions of Arrakis to become a Minor House in Dune Awakening. We will use intrigue, diplomacy, combat, trade and commercial strength to further the policy of House Moritani on Arrakis.

Recruitment Process

We are recruiting and looking for people desiring to join a elite group of players. We will be focusing on building a core group of chill quality folks over sheer numbers . Players must pass a "blood" trial and then nominated by existing Sardaukar and voted on by the Sardaukar. If voted in, an initiate will become a Sardaukar and formal member of the guild. Ranks/Hierarchy

House Moritani is designed to be a flat organization in structure and hierarchy. Emphasizing that each formal member is a Sardaukar having distinct privileges/rights/level of trust & responsibilities having reached that rank. The Master positions are leaders of divisions and we will pick the people who we believe are the most qualified and show a desire to help the team. Burseg decisions with vote from the Sardaukar will make decisions on behalf of the Guild.

Join our ranks, to rise among our three divisions:

1. Military Operations Division: serve as or under our Sadauakar battalion's Bashar and Sword Master or as a Squad Leader or Sardaukar fulfilling the following roles: solider, melee expert, pilot, combat medic or combat engineer, and enforcer.  

2. Clandestine Operations Division:  serve as or under our Master of Assassins as a Sardaukar Agent or Bene Gesserit Truthsayer as a scout and expert in offensive and defensive counterintelligence. The goal is to create information and intel as currency, valuable both to us and our allies in game.

3. Logistics Operations Division:  serve as or under our Master Steward as a Logistics Officer fulfilling the following roles: executing trade runs, harvesting, crafting, building, and managing our spice mélange and Solaris.

Leadership

Our Viscount, Hundro is the leader of House Moritani. However, he has designated his two Great Bursegs as joint decision makers in his name Krez and Jhordi. All have experience in guilds and playing games such as WoW, Bannerlord, Eve Online, Star Citizen, and SWG.

Guild Lore

According to the Dune books and in the annals of Dune, there are few names that strike fear into the hearts of their enemies like House Moritani. We are descended from ancient nobility within the Imperium. Hailing from the planet Grumman IV, we rose to prominence through sheer force of will.  House Moritani has carved out its dominion on Grumman IV with ruthless efficiency becoming a noble house closely aligned with the Padishah Emperor, ruler over the known universe and the Golden Lion Throne. Through our joint sacrifice, the Great House Corrino rose to the power in the Imperium.   Emperor Shaddam IV has graced us with executing his will through the force of a Sardaukar battalion here on Arrakis, Dune.

The Emperor’s blades are unparalleled in their ferocity, hardened on the Imperium’s prison plant Salusa Secundas. Our initiates must survive a blood trial as difficult as the rains of Salusa, to become a Sardaukar. The Sardaukar are known as the Emperor’s blades, dominant and undefeated in the Imperium’s history.

Known Allegiances or Rivalries

The historical animosity between House Moritani and House Atreides is a well-known aspect of our past. However, we are currently only formally allied to the House of Corrino and act on his behalf and proxy here on Dune.  The Viscount commands we will serve our joint interests and ensuring the noble house gains promotion to a minor house status.
