Vehicles
Dune: Awakening employs a system of combined arms, which means that combat will be divided in (at least) three different parts: melee, ranged and vehicular combat. [1] [2] [3]
Vehicular combat might be very important late game, as it can provide good transport and combat capabilities. [1]
Vehicles in game
Vehicular combat will be a really versetile thing, as it contains everything from tanks to ornithopters. Combat vehicles will probably be protected by a shield and equiped with multitude of weapons, from lasguns, to missile launchers. [2]
Vehicles will be used to transport stuff and people around also, and as such will be a very vital asset of all groups. From moving your harvestors to a spice blow, to actually harvesting the spice and moving people to the location. [1] It is currently unknown how many types of vehicles will be in Dune: Awakening, but the ones we already saw are ornithopters, carryalls, harvesters, groundcars (armed and unarmed), sandbikes and spaceships (which cannot be controlled by a player). We can easily suspect tanks to make an appearance. Some vehicles are known to be one seat only, while others might carry several players.[2] [4] [5]
Travelling in a vehicle has a disadvantage of attracting the worm, similar to walking rhythmically or stepping on drum sand, as well as consuming fuel and requiring maintenance. [6]
