Issued by Ugo Firenze of the Salusan Bull, it is the only Contract in the Salusan Jobs chain.
Walkthrough
Accepting the Contract
To accept the contract, go to the Contracts Board in Arrakeen, which can be found next to the Salusan Bull (right side of the stairs).
Lore: Contract Offer Job Offer: Temporary Security at the Salusan Bull. Good pay, many benefits. People skills required, experience a bonus. No free drinks.
Meeting Firenze
After accepting the contract, you have to go find Firenze to start your employment. He is in the upper level of the Salusan Bull, just past the stairs. After letting him know that you would like the job, Firenze will give you your first target, an Atreides soldier named Trooper Renn.
Evict the Atreides soldier, downstairs at the Salusan Bull
To find Trooper Renn, go to the lower level of the Salusan Bull. Trooper Renn is on the left side of the room, leaning against the wall. Talk to her to evict her from the bar.
Report back to Firenze
Now go back to Firenze to tell him the job's done. Unfortunately, he's got more people for you to kick out. Next is a local who is annoying Sergeant Clagg, and you'd best get him out of the bar before Clagg sedates him with a chair.
Evict the Local, downstairs at the Salusan Bull
Back downstairs you go! The Local is standing at the foot of the stairs, facing the bar. And you'll find yourself in for a doozy of a conversation, because he'll ask you if you've seen a person melt when you first walk up. If you let him tell his story before kicking him out, he'll tell you something about the tainted spice sweeping through Arrakeen.
Lore: The Local's Story
Drunk Local: Fair, one story. She was halfway through her vows when her mother started to sweat red.
Drunk Local: At first, we thought it was nerves or the heat, maybe, Then her skin started to melt. Slow, like candle wax dripping down a stick.
Drunk Local: And the worst part? She was still smiling. Oblivious. As if her face hadn't caught up with the rest of her.
Player: Wha-- What happened to her?
Drunk Local: They said it was 'bad spice' in the wine. The first case on record, before it even had a name.
Player: And your wife? Did she ... did she make it through?
Drunk Local: You know, you're the first to ask about her. Thank you for that.
Drunk Local: She stayed for a while. Too long, maybe. We tried to hold on, but that moment at the wedding never left us - it just sat there, between us, rotting.
Drunk Local: She stopped speaking, stopped sleeping. One day, she was just ... gone.
Drunk Local: Didn't leave a note - just a ring in the sink and a partially drunk bottle of spiced wine on the table.
Player: Wait a moment ... THE bottle of spiced wine?
Drunk Local: The very same. Untouched since the day it turned her mother to pulp and our joy to ash.
Drunk Local: I made myself a promise - if I ever found someone kind enough to listen, I'd tell the story one last time, raise a glass to my almost mother-in-law.
Drunk Local: And see if the wine forgives me. Thank you kindly.
Player: Come on. That's enough for tonight, Let the ghosts rest.
The drunk local leaves the bar (completing the task and ending the dialogue)
Report back to Firenze
Back upstairs to let Firenze know you've done your job. But he's not done with you yet - you've still got one more person to evict. Colonel Raigne is very drunk and has been bothering other patrons.
Evict the Officer, upstairs at the Salusan Bull
This time, you get to stay upstairs. Colonel Raigne is wearing an Atreides uniform and has a cup in his hand. Unfortunately, trying to convince him to leave will be an ordeal, as he will pull rank on you. The colonel sounds very disillusioned with his House, but when you threaten to let Mentat Hawat know about the situation, he backs down and leaves.
Collect your reward from Firenze
Go back to Firenze to let him know you've completed your task. He'll pay you and let you know that Chim has given you a rare compliment.
