Purpose / Ethos
The Dune Riders Cartel, a syndicate focused on gaining control over the Spice trade, rose from the awakened Sleepers on Arrakis. Its members realized that they were stronger together, and that they could accomplish more and control more of the Spice. Together, we are more than the sum of our parts. Together, we can protect ourselves and watch each other's backs. Together, we will be unstoppable.
Recruitment Process
The Dune Riders Cartel is an open guild. As long as you don't betray us, you're one of our own. Prospective members may join through our Discord server.
Ranks/Hierarchy
Between our Falcons, Smugglers and Hit Squad, all are equal under Cartel Leadership.
- Our Falcons grant us sight. Ornithopter and Carryall pilots and those who pilot land-based vehicles map out the Deep Desert and keep tabs on points of interest, as well as support out operations in the Deep Desert.
- Our Smugglers grant us strength. Those who craft and gather resources for the Cartel and ensure out continued survival are highly valued and are the beating heart of our organization.
- Our Hit Squad grants us riches and the power to affect change on Arrakis. They do this via operations in the Deep Desert, harvesting spice blows and disrupting the spice harvesting operations of other factions.
Leadership
Under the leadership of the brothers, Wonted and Drift, the Cartel prospers. Wonted, with his sense of the big picture and forward-facing mentality, guides the guild with a steady hand. Drift, with his eye for details and Mentat abilities, sets plans in motion and ensures the Cartel always stays on track. The brothers, though always trusting of one another, seek others to help guide the organization as well. Those who are trustworthy and, level-headed and skilled will have opportunities to rise higher.
Known Allegiances or Rivalries
Though the Cartel has no current associations with other factions, guilds or organizations, we are always looking for opportunities to create mutually beneficial relationships and profitable endeavors. Of course, rivalries would fall under the category of 'profitable endeavors.'
Other Activities
While the Cartel's focus is on Dune: Awakening, we also enjoy other games, from time to time. And, of course, it's always better with friends.
