Lore
The Old Griffin Hideaway is a small Fremen in origin rock dwelling or point of pilgrimage for young Fremen youths on their way north to complete the Trials of ALQ. The large chamber cut into the side of the mountain is well hidden from those who do not know of its location and a reminder of the Fremen who used to walk the Hagga Basin often unnoticed unless trading with the nearby Griffins Reach Tradepost. Its purpose now with the disappearance of the Fremen is unknown, a secretive hideaway for fugitive Fremen, the hidden storeroom where the less sanctioned items traded or smuggled at the Griffins Reach Tradepost are stored or a hidden retreat for a weary scavenger lucky enough to discover it. However, the myriads of traps and the unfortunate soul crushed beneath a loose rock suggest whoever occupied the cave didn't want to be found.
