Planetologist

Overview
Planetologists are part scientist, part explorer - trained to survive in hostile environments while beginning the process of terraforming. Their training is extensive as they are the frontline exploration force of any new planet discovered by the Imperium.
Planetologists are one of the training disciplines available for characters to learn in Dune: Awakening. Unlike other disciplines, Planetologist is not selectable at character creation.

Skills purchased in this area effect your hand gathering and use of tools. You can enhance compaction, dew gathering, and your combat abilities through the selections listed in this tree.
Explorer:
Skills Purchased in this area effect your climbing, navigation, surveying, and effectiveness in wearing stillsuits. You will find your initial investment in this area is an ability called "Suspensor Pad" for further details on this ability please reference the "Abilities" as listed below.
Mechanic:
The skills investments found within "Mechanic" attribute to fuel efficiency, vehicular heat management, overall durability of your vehicles, vehicular scanning, mining and spice harvesting.

Abilities
Planetology Ability: Suspensor Pad
Cost: 1 skills Point
Use: user must slot this ability and use the corresponding key to activate it.
Effects: Once this ability is active it will last for a duration of 10 seconds. While this ability is active the user can step on to or jump on to the suspensor pad launching them into the air. This ability effects the user and all team members who use it during the active duration.

Techniques
Planetology Technique: Conservation of Energy
Cost: 2 skills points at level 1, 3 skills points at level two, and 4 skills points to reach level 3.
Use: Techniques must be slotted and are passives which effect your characters abilities in unique ways.
Effects: When slotted this technique improves power consumption effectively reducing the cost of tools and energy based weapons. This helps with use of the cutteray for mining, static compactor for collection of resources, and use of things like shields, suspensor belts, and energy weapons.
