Derek Chinara is an Imperial Planetologist, located in the Hagga Basin above Testing Station 2  He has a task for you to complete within imperial testing station two. If you complete it and return the item he requires he will train you in the planetologist skill line.

You can meet him before the task and he will issue it in conversation, or you can complete the testing station and pick up the quest item then take it to him and then accept the task and complete it by handing over the item. Once completed you will have access to the Planetologist skill line.

Note: Although quest items will sit in your backpack (normally at the bottom, scroll down) they do not take up a slot and they do not have any volume (Weight)

Location

Derek Chinara camp is located just above Imperial Testing Station No. 2, however throughout his questline he can be found in many different locations.
