The Spice Bros' short for Spice Brotherhood, are a specialized unit out of House Harkonnen. Strategic experts at extracting Spice, in the name of the Baron, Vladimir Harkonnen, and were appointed Stewards to represent him over the lands of Arrakis. The Spice Bros' had once petitioned against the mass execution of the Fremen by the Emperor but despite this, the Duke chose not to interfere with the assault.
Choosing to view the Atreides as the hypocrites, the Spice Brotherhood defected to House Harkonnen.
