Purpose / Philosophy
The New Order was forged in response to the inherent chaos and instability that plagued the Imperium. Its purpose is to create a unified, efficient, and disciplined society one that transcends the petty rivalries and feudal conflicts that have long defined the universe. It seeks to impose order through a blend of military power, technological innovation, and unyielding control over resources, with the ultimate goal of achieving long-lasting stability under the banner of House Atreides.
Recruitment Process
Recruitment into The New Order is a meticulous and highly selective process, designed to identify individuals who possess the necessary traits of loyalty, discipline, and mental acuity. Given the faction's focus on creating a new, unified vision for the Imperium, The New Order seeks out recruits from a wide array of backgrounds. Soldiers, scholars, nobles, and even the disillusioned members of rival factions. However, only the most exceptional candidates are chosen to undergo the transformative trials that will bind them to the movement and elevate them into the ranks of the Officers.

Leadership
The Duke
At the pinnacle of The New Order stands The Duke, most commonly recognized as Duke Ned. As both the head of House Atreides and the leader of The New Order, he is the embodiment of strength, honour, and vision. Under his leadership, The New Order is both a military and philosophical movement, seeking to impose unity and stability across the Imperium.
Guild Lore
The origins of The New Order lie in the shifting tides of power within the Imperium. Born from the collaboration between House Atreides and a faction of revolutionary thinkers and military strategists, the guild was created to challenge the centuries-old structures of noble houses and the anarchic nature of the galaxy. The New Order was formed to break free from the constant warfare and power struggles between rival factions, seeking a higher purpose: the unification of the known universe under one guiding force.
Despite its careful manoeuvring, The New Order’s ultimate aim remains clear: reshape the universe into a place where chaos and division are replaced by structure and certainty. It is an order not just of military might, but of philosophical transformation, where the greatest strength lies not in ruling through fear alone, but in uniting the universe through the strength of collective purpose and unwavering discipline.
Known Allegiances or Rivalries
The New Order faces a variety of rival factions, each with their own motivations and methods of control. The House Harkonnens and House Corrino represent direct political and military adversaries, while the Bene Gesserit and Spacing Guild offer more subtle, ideological opposition. The Fremen, driven by their desire for autonomy, represent a wild card that could either become an ally or a formidable enemy depending on how The New Order’s agenda unfolds on Arrakis. These rivalries provide the backdrop for a complex web of power dynamics and ideological clashes, where control, loyalty, and vision are constantly contested.
