Treadwheel
"A prototype groundcar developed specifically for the conditions of Arrakis. Larger wheel surface areas provide greater traction on the loose sand."
The Treadwheel is a speedy ground vehicle, introduced in the Lost Harvest DLC. Meant to be an alternative to the Sandbike, the Treadwheel has comparatively lower speed, but higher acceleration, a smaller turning radius and lower worm attraction, and can move backwards at the same speed as forwards.
It can be stored in the Vehicle Backup Tool, but as a ground vehicle, cannot be used to travel to the Overland Map.
Standard Modules
Mandatory
Assembly of any vehicle always begins with the chassis. Unless otherwise specified, only one of each module type is required.
Modules from different tiers can generally be mixed to construct a functioning vehicle; however, multi-part components, such as treads or wings, must have all parts of the same tier.
Tier | Module | Total Crafting Cost | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Chassis | Hull | Engine | PSU | Treads | ||
Optional
The Treadwheel has several optional modules that can turn it into a two-seater vehicle, a cargo-capable one, or even add boosting and/or scanning capabilities.
Apart from the Treadwheel Scanner module, all other optional modules share the rear utility slot on the Treadwheel, thus only one can be equipped at a time.
Tier | Utility Slot (Rear) | Utility Slot (Front) |

Unique Modules
Currently, the Treadwheel has 2 Unique modules available:
- Swift Treadwheel Engine provides increased speed at the cost of additional heat generation.
- Steady Treadwheel Boost Module provides a longer, steady boost but at a lower maximum speed.
