The Scout Ornithopter is a single seated flying vehicle, the smallest of the 3 ornithopters in game however the most manoeuvrable. The Scout Ornithopter can traverse the Overland Map, it is the first obtainable vehicle which allow the player to do so. Like the Sandbike the Scout Ornithopter can be stored in the Vehicle Backup Tool.
Available Modules
To assemble a Scout Ornithopter you require a Welding Torch, assembly of the Scout Ornithopter starts with the chassis. While the Scout Ornithopter isn't fully assembled it cannot be stored in the Vehicle Backup Tool.
When assembling the Scout Ornithopter all modules for different tiers can be used together apart from the wings where all 4 wings are required to be the same.

Thrusters Allow the Scout Ornithopter boost which allows speed gain in vulture mode.
Storage Allow the Scout Ornithopter to carry items. (Note: When Items are in the Scout Ornithopters inventory it cannot be stored using the Vehicle Backup Tool)
Rocket Launcher Allow the Scout Ornithopter to fire Rockets at the cost of reduced manoeuvrability.
Scanner Allow the pilot of the Scout Ornithopter to scan there surrounding from the pilot's seat.
