The Communinet Signal is a Dune: Awakening Community Newsletter, giving roughly monthly updates (depending on team resource/availability)[1] to celebrate milestones, answer questions, showcase fan art and more. The Signals will be posted on the Website
The name comes from the short/medium range communications network in the Dune lore[2]
For those wanting to submit suggestions, questions or fan art for future Signals, use the #DuneAwakeningCommuninet on social media channels, or visit the #fanart or #communinet-signal channels on the Discord Server
Signal 1 - 2024-08-02
The first Signal contained:
- Some opening words from the Community team
- A round-up of the latest news - D:A Hitting 1 Million wishlists on Steam, the Alternate Timeline Cinematic video, and the Dune Awakening Direct Episode 2
- A Highlight featuring the Hanovars Bar in Harko Village
- A collection of fan art picks
- Questions submitted by the community about:
- The Fremen being "exterminated"
- Building hologram system
- Signing up for the Closed Beta
- Closing lines giving information on how to engage with the next Signal
Signal 2 - TBA
The next Signal is yet to be announced. but will likely feature a lot of screenshots from Gamescom 2024[3]
