Old Imperium

The Old Imperium existed millenia ago, before the Butlerian Jihad.

They constructed and operated the Imperial Testing Stations found on Arrakis, until the stations were abandoned during the Jihad. The "Old Imperial" technological components like Advanced Servoks and Particle Capacitors were their creations.
