I've been contacted by a researcher who claims to have valuable insight into synthetic diseases. Normally I would dismiss this as an attempt to profit from the tragedy, but the data he shared seemed incredibly specific.

Please travel to Harko Village on my behalf and find out if he truly has information of value. I've sent Frida as well.

Objectives

Dialogue

When starting objective: Meet the contact in Harko Village

Fleshshaper Phrakk: You again. What is it now?

Player: 1. (Complete Contract) Doctor Shaffat sent me. These are her findings. 2. (Requires 5000 solaris) I wish to alter my appearance. 3. I'd like to ask you about something else. 4. Goodbye <leave>
(1) Fleshshaper Phrakk: The Suk physician? Give them here. Let us see what passes for medical scholarship in the Imperium.

Player: 1.1 She believes the disease is synthetic. Possibly Tleilaxu.
(1.1) Fleshshaper Phrakk: Naturally. Imperial medicine encounters something more sophisticated than an infected toenail and blames the Bene Tleilax.

Player: 5. [IXIAN] After what your people did to Ix, suspicion is how we survived. 6. [MENTAT] A synthetic pathogen of unusual sophistication suggests Tleilaxu involvement. 7. Dr. Shaffat found signs of deliberate engineering.
(6) Fleshshaper Phrakk: "Synthetic" establishes construction. "Sophisticated" establishes only Shaffat's surprise. Neither establishes authorship.

Player: 7. Dr. Shaffat found signs of deliberate engineering.
(7) Fleshshaper Phrakk: And because a child scratches crude letters into a wall, she blames the inventor of language?

Player: 8.|> Then what is it? 9. So it isn't yours?
(9) Fleshshaper Phrakk: Certainly not. A true Tleilaxu pathogen is a masterpiece of intention.

Player: 9.1 And this one?

(9.1) Fleshshaper Phrakk: This one blunders through the host, devouring whatever it encounters and calling the wreckage mutation.

Player: 9.2 [Next]

(9.2) Fleshshaper Phrakk: This is not Tleilaxu workmanship. It is vandalism committed inside a body.

Player: 8.|> Then what is it? 10. [Harkonnen] If a Tleilaxu weapon is loose in Harkonnen territory, the Baron will demand answers.
(10) Fleshshaper Phrakk: The Baron may demand whatever pleases him. His servants should be cautious about confusing his authority with their own.

Player: And yet you serve House Harkonnen.
(10) Fleshshaper Phrakk: You confuse service with repayment. The House conveyed me to Arrakis. I discharge that debt through fleshcraft.

Player: 10.1 Fine. If it isn't Tleilaxu, what is it?
(8)(10.1) Fleshshaper Phrakk: An incomplete design. Most hosts die before the pathogen accomplishes anything of value. Either its creator is an idiot - or it lacks a catalyst.

Player: 11. And you think the catalyst is?
(11) Fleshshaper Phrakk: Radiation. Under sufficient exposure, it may cease destroying the host and begin transforming it.

Player: 12. [MENTAT] You mistake correlation with cause. You have not controlled for dosage, exposure, and physiology. 13. Transforming it into what?

(12) Fleshshaper Phrakk: Then what does the celebrated Mentat method prescribe when evidence is inadequate?

Player: 12.1 Acquire sample from infected subjects exposed to radiation.

(12.1) Fleshshaper Phrakk: Excellent. You have deduced the task I was assigning you.

Player: 12.2 But what do you mean by "transforming" the host?

(12.2) Fleshshaper Phrakk: Most will die. A fortunate few may become something else.

Player: 12.3 [ATREIDES] Careful. Those are the Duke's subjects you're talking about. 13. What do you need?
(12.3) Fleshshaper Phrakk: Subjects. A gentler word for property, favored by masters who prefer their possessions to be grateful.

Player: 12.4 None are exploited. And I am here to make sure as few die as possible.

(12.4) Fleshshaper Phrakk: Then cease defending the Duke and begin defending his beloved, entirely unexploited subjects.

Player: 12.5 What do you need?
(12.5)(13) Fleshshaper Phrakk: Brain tissue from infected altered by radiation. Their regression is only the most obvious symptom.

Player: 13.1 [Next]

(13.1) Fleshshaper Phrakk: They suffer paranoia, hallucinations - even shared delusions. I need to determine whether the pathogen is damaging thought or directing it.

Player: 14. But I'm also infected. What happens when I enter an irradiated area?
(14) Fleshshaper Phrakk: At least the Suk diagnosed something correctly. Here. Take this.

Player: 14.1 [Next]

(14.1) Fleshshaper Phrakk: There. The treatment will slow the disease and suppress its response to radiation. Temporarily.

Player: 15.|> No time to waste. What do I need to do? 16. [IXIAN] The last time the Tleilaxu offered Ixian subjects medecine, they called it research. 17. Temporarily?
(16) Fleshshaper Phrakk: An ungenerous summary. Some of it was also punishment.

Player: 16.1 Which is this?

(16.1) Fleshshaper Phrakk: Neither. Your value in this matter is purely logistical. You are a useful courier - temporarily.

Player: 16.2 What do I need to do?
(15)(16.2) Fleshshaper Phrakk: Proceed as required. The treatment should prevent radiation from catalyzing your infection.

Player: 17. [Next]
(17) Fleshshaper Phrakk: Report any unfamiliar thoughts, voices, or compulsions immediately.

Player: 18. Where do I begin? 19. Because you're concerned for my well-being?
(18) Fleshshaper Phrakk: Shafat's aid will issue the collection assignments and receive the tissue. Try not to contaminate either.

Player: 18.1 I'll speak with Maltros.
