CHOAM Salvage Rights
CHOAM activity is rising in the skies above Hagga Basin. Each freighter is a fat prize, and the Kirab know it. The rumble of their artillery rolls across the desert, sending ships crashing into the dunes.
As burning ships leave black streaks across the sky, CHOAM is ready to hire mercenaries to defend its assets from the Kirab.
This World Event began on 27 August 2025 and ended on 10 September 2025, as a build-up to the launch of the Lost Harvest DLC and Chapter 2.
Details
During this event, players greeted with a seemingly-endless number of fiery shots arcing across the sky in all directions, each accompanied by the now-iconic sound of the turret cannon firing. CHOAM ships constantly crashed onto the sands, and following one of the smoke trails would lead back to huge turrets operated by Kirab soldiers.
New Contracts could be picked up from any of the CHOAM Merchants, which spawned at random locations in each World. They could typically be found at one of the Tradeposts in Hagga Basin, as well as Arrakeen and Harko Village.
CHOAM Cargo
CHOAM Cargo could be looted from the crashed ships, but the Kirab would not give up their treasure without a fight on the sands, which attracted the sandworms as well. CHOAM Cargo could also be found in smaller quantities at the turret emplacements.
