A vendor that appeared during the CHOAM Salvage Rights in Arrakeen, Harko Village, and a random trading post in Hagga Basin. In addition to issuing the event quests, the merchant sold CHOAM skins and a turret statue in exchange for CHOAM cargo.
Quests
During the event, the CHOAM merchant gave three quests, all three of which could be accepted at the same time.
- Kill 25 Kirab
- This mission was relatively straightforward. All Kirab enemies counted, regardless of whether they were in a Testing Station, Enemy Camp, Outpost, or other location.
- Sabotage Kirab Emplacement
- This mission involved finding a Kirab turret, either by stumbling across one or following the fiery shots being fired to a turret.
- After killing the Kirab guards, you would have to go to a panel on the turret and cut it open with a cutteray. Once the panel is cut open, pressing 'E' deactivates the gun for a period of time and completes the mission criteria.
- Retrieve CHOAM Cargo
- CHOAM cargo could be found in a fallen shipwreck, which could be found on the open sand. This method, however, made you vulnerable to being eaten by the sandworm.
- There were two hatches on the rear of the freighter, each of which could be cut open using a cutteray.
- When opened, the cargo bays could be on fire or filled with poison gas. Inside each cargo bay was one chest with solari and some CHOAM cargo.
- After exiting the cargo bay, you would run into a group of Kirab who spawn outside the shipwreck and attack you immediately.
- Alternatively, CHOAM cargo could also be looted from a chest on the platform of a Kirab turret. Like the chests in the shipwreck, the chest on the Kirab turret contain solari and some CHOAM cargo.
- CHOAM cargo could be found in a fallen shipwreck, which could be found on the open sand. This method, however, made you vulnerable to being eaten by the sandworm.
