'Frida Maltros: Hello, again. Were I you, I'd keep my distance. The infection grows rampant there. Player: Any news from Doctor Shaffat? Frida Maltros: She wants to see you right away, she really stressed that. You should visit her in Arrakeen. Player: [1] (Accept contract) Alright. I'll speak with her.
When completing mission
Dr. Shaffat: Ah, good. You're here. We have no time to spare. Player: You were looking for me? Dr. Shaffat: Yes, I've made some discoveries regarding this mysterious disease. Player: What sort of symptoms can I expect? Dr. Shaffat: You'll slide into paranoia, emotional seizures, dementia magnum, ego hemorrhaging, and brain cell fusion. Player: What does all that mean? Dr. Shaffat: You won't be able to trust your own thoughts. You'll see enemies. Monsters. If you don't die horribly, right away, you'll take some people with you. Dr. Shaffat: Everything that is or was you will boil away in your super-heated brain. You will be consumed by aggressive paranoia and delusion. Player: Grim prognosis. Did you discover anything else? Dr. Shaffat: Well many of the infected, once the disease has run its course, simple die. Others however become... something else. Dr. Shaffat: Anyway, I also discovered that the virus is synthetic. Such biocraft reeks of the Tleilaxu, but here I reach a limit of my knowledge. Player: What can we do to learn more? Dr. Shaffat: A mysterious individual has reached out to me from Harko Village. He claims to be a researcher and also concerned about stopping this epidemic. Dr. Shaffat: I don't like working with someone I do not know. However, we must pursue all avenues of knowledge. Too much is at stake. Dr. Shaffat: He claims to have some knowledge of synthetic viruses. Will you go to Harko Village and meet with this man?
