Hagga Basin as shown in the second D:A Direct

There will be multiple versions of the Hagga Basin, you can make sure you and your friends join the same one along with at least 40 other people.[1][2]

Purpose

Hagga Basin in what seems to be the Overland

The Hagga Basin("HB") is the starting survival map in Dune: Awakening, In a HB the player will be able to craft, build their base, progress and overall survive Arrakis.

Once the player selects a starting Basin map,[2] they are locked to that map and others are locked to theirs as "Players from other servers cannot come here[the player's selected Basin]"[3]

Due to the HB being a starting area, it is majority PvE, however there are some areas of PvP.[3]

PvP Content

PvP Content in the HB will be primarily around the Crashed Ship Sites, in real time, the player will be able to see the ships fall and if they choose the player can travel to the crash site to gather the valuable loot there. [4]

To warn players of the PvP restrictions being lifted, the player will see a pop-up appear warning them they are entering a PvP allowed area.[5]

Along with this, some of the Enemy Camps will have PvP enabled too.[6]

Map Size

The 40+ players that share a HB will have about ~64km2 or ~40mi2[3]
