Harkonnen agent, possibly assassin holding a knife

After the survival of House Atreides due to the alternate timeline, Arrakis is descended into a world of turmoil.[1]

Both Great Houses are permitted to take residence on the planet, and the Imperium deny any foul play regarding the attempted destruction of the Atreides by the Harkonnen and Sardukar[2]

As a result of this war, there is a power vacuum and many opportunities the player might find themselves taking advantage of.[1], even just by scavenging debris for metal left by falling ships as a result of the war[3]
