Plants growing in the ecolab

In-game

Ecology labs will be a location in Dune: Awakening.

Arrakis features underground Ecology (Eco) labs across the desert. These were once scientific research facilities created with the intention of terraforming the desert world[1]. However, once the Spice Melange was discovered this effort was quickly abandoned and the labs with it.

They are now mostly overgrown and inhabited by various aggressive groups of scavengers and will be the PvE "dungeons" in Dune: Awakening, offering potentially valuable loot and being different from the rest of Arrakis.[2] [3]

When the player enters the lab, their spawn point will be set there like a checkpoint.[3]

Can feature: ([2])

  • Puzzles
  • Various NPC's, high amounts too
  • Different environments, even to a tundra based
  • Funplants
