Downloadable Content (DLCs) refers to optional paid additions to the game. These range from cosmetic items—such as buildables and skins—to gameplay content including quests, locations and schematics.
Narrative content is designed to be standalone and lore-focused, offering additional worldbuilding. Gameplay content is explicitly not pay-to-win; for example, the Treadwheel is a sidegrade to the Sandbike, not an upgrade.
Most DLC-exclusive items that occupy inventory space, such as schematics, can still be used by players who do not own the DLC if obtained from other players.
