Landsraad

Symbols of the Harkonnens and Atreides, the two confirmed factions, not necessarily the symbols of the factions in-game

The Landsraad vote weekly on various rulings that can impact Arrakis immensely. Guilds aligned with the Harkonnen or Atreides can work to win the favor of the Landsraad.

If an entire section of the Landsraad forms a Sysselraad, then no matter what else happens, the house that controls the sysselraad will determine the weekly decree. If the houses have the same amount of alignment at the end of the week, the landsraad would result in a tie during that week. The house with more voting power at the end of the week wins automatically if no Sysselraad happens.

Player Guilds are able to align themselves with either the Atreides or Harkonnen, and by doing so, are able to participate in the Landsraad.

Landsraad Missions

In Chapter 3, Landsraad Missions were added, expanding the PvE endgame.

Previously, missions required killing a certain number of enemies or delivering resources, or vehicles, to the faction Quartermaster; now missions are repeatable content that can be done after a house is revealed in the Landsraad menu.

Every house is assigned to a Specialization, requiring a certain set of Landsraad Missions for contributing towards the house goal - Every mission provides 1000 personal contribution regardless of the house attunement to the player house, and can be repeated indefinitely for that progress, except when the Landraad is on recession and the houses are "locked".

Furthermore, every day players gain 5 Mnemonic Recollections, up to a maximum of 35, which can be also used paired with the new Landsraad Missions to gain Specialization Experience (125), Faction Standing (75) and Scrips (1000).

Players can contribute towards any house unlocked whenever that house is available/unlocked, there is no need to have any Mnemonic Recollection remaining for contributing - but any mission done with remaining Recollections need to consume a Recollection charge for claiming the rewards.

Landsraad Decrees

The Landsraad provide powerful decrees which vary from providing unique vendors to altering how action is dictated in the Deep Desert.

Every week, guild leaders with sufficient Guild Voting power, gained through Landsraad Missions, can put those votes towards a specific Decree; The decree will last until the end of the Landsraad Session, just before it's on recession, shortly before the Deep Desert weekly reset.

The Guild leader must vote on one-of-three decrees which are randomized per week.

The current available decrees are:

  • Exclusive Tool Import Rights
  • Exclusive Armor Import Rights
    • This decree gives access to an Armor vendor, providing MK6 Choam garment pieces.
    • Additionally there are extra armor mk6 Blueprints accessible, restricted to (1) item buyable per week - Circuit Gauntlets, Hook-claw Gloves
  • Exclusive Weapon Import Rights
  • Exclusive Vehicle Import Rights
  • CHOAM Production Contract
    • Reduce costs when refining or crafting by 25%.
      • This cost also applies to Water Costs.
      • This cost cannot be applied when the base material is not, at least, 4 - So, for example, Silicon blocks do not get a cost reduction for Medium Chemical Refineries.
  • CHOAM Refining Contract
    • Reduces refining times and repair costs by 75%.
  • In Honor of the Fallen (Ranged)
    • Ranged Weapon Damage increased by 33%
      • This is a multiplicative bonus on top of any other bonus.
  • In Honor of the Fallen (Melee)
    • Melee Weapon Damage increased by 33%
      • This is a multiplicative bonus on top of any other bonus.
  • Scholarly Collaboration
    • Experience gain increased by 50%
      • This experience bonus does NOT apply to Specialization XP.
  • The Right of Salvage
    • ALL items equipped or in your inventory will be dropped when defeated in the Deep Desert.

In Universe

In Dune, the Landsraad serves as a governing body in the universe that represented the Great Houses, it was overseen by the Emperor himself. The presence of this body helped stand against the Emperor, preventing the houses from being wiped out one by one by the Imperial throne.

During the Landsraad's meetings, the Houses could participate in politics such as:

  • Trade agreements
  • Alliances
  • Kanly or 'formal war'
