Sandbikes are alike to groundcars in terms of viability. Being belted, they are usable at Arrakis for traversing the dunes without worrying too much about the worm, unlike with hovercraft that rely on Holtzman tech to levitate. [1] [2] [3] [4]

Sandbikes in games

Sandbikes will be one of the faster, and less visible, ways of traversing the dunes on ground. They will be a useful way of moving fast either solo, or in two, as more can only hardly fit on a single bike. It does not seem sandbikes could have any armaments. [2] [5] Sandbikes will start off slow, but will gain their speed via upgrades, however can never outrun the worms[6]

Obtainment

The sandbike is obtained by researching it for 3 intel points in the technology tree. Purchasing this unlocks the sandbike: [7]

  • Body
  • Chassis
  • Exploration Treads
  • PSU
  • Seat

Along with copper welding tools.

Each of the sandbike components much be crafted individually in the Vehicles Fabricator before they can be used.[8]

The Welding tool is used to combine this components into a useable sandbike.[9]
