Update 1.5 was Dune: Awakening's Console launch version. It released on 17 September 2026 at 14:00 CEST for all Steam players, and into Console Head Start for all players who pre-ordered either Deluxe or Ultimate Edition[1], and subsequently went into Full Console Launch on 22 September 2026 at 14:00 CEST for all players.

Free Content

All players received a free content update to the game:

  • New single-player mode! Select between different difficulty presents or customize the game settings, and survive Arrakis on your own, your way.
  • New character-centric experience: Create and browse through your characters from the main menu and choose where to bring them each time you play.
  • Major performance improvements and optimizations.
  • Combat balancing pass, with improvements to melee, NPC balancing and much more.
  • Restructured the way difficulty and reward scaling works in overland dungeon maps to make the overall experience more rewarding for the amount of effort invested.
  • Improvements to the tutorialization and new player onboarding.
  • Improvements to UI, gamepad support and rumble haptics!
  • Two new face tattoos are now available for your character: Sandworm’s Eye and The Maker’s Markings. These tattoos were designed thanks to the input of our community during our First Anniversary livestream.

An optional paid Downloadable Content pack was released at the same time: Filmic Archive.

The pack includes cosmetic outfit skins inspired by the films, as well as the following Sardaukar-themed items:
