Update 1.2 was released on 11 September 2025 as the first major content update for Dune: Awakening.[1]

Free Content
All players received a free content update to the game:
- Chapter 2 of the main story, exploring the player character's origins
- Character Re-Customization
- Dynamic Encounters with new NPCs across Hagga Basin
- New Contracts in Harko Village and Arrakeen
- Archetype Armor Sets obtained from completing Advanced Training of Skill Trees
- New Hairstyles and Tattoos
Paid Content
An optional Downloadable Content pack was released at the same time: Lost Harvest, accessible to Season Pass owners or players who purchased the DLC separately.
Some key features of this Dunemen-themed content pack include:
- The Treadwheel ground vehicle
- A new Journey arc
- Access to exclusive areas in 3 Testing Stations in Hagga Basin
- Building Pieces and Decorations
- Weapon and Armor Skins
- Emotes
Other Updates and Fixes
This update also contained many fixes, adjustments and features, including:
- Improved server stability.
- Improved anti cheat measures.
- The number of assets in certain locations has been reduced to improve performance.
- Improved performance around Mysa Tarill.
- Improved how building piece rotation works with a controller, to have more granularity.
- Players now have more opportunities to build in the Shield Wall section of the Deep Desert.
- Added renaming functionality in the Placeables and Vehicles menu for players to be able to organize their bases better.
- Quicksand between sectors in the Deep Desert has been removed, allowing you to cross these borders on foot and in ground vehicles. In addition, abilities, weapons, and combat overall works across sectors, and crossing these borders should no longer cause disconnects and hitching.
Cross-World Character Transfer
Character Transfers were added January 20, 2026 with patch 1.2.40.0. More information can be found on the Character Transfers page.
