Envoy Dialogue

LUCIANA: You come to speak to House Wayku? Welcome, welcome. We live to serve until the contract is done.
1.Player: Tell me about yourself.
1.LUCIANA: Call me Luciana. I serve House Wayku during their the Landsraad activities on Arrakis. Pardon mypreoccupation, but l am soaking up this moment.
1.Player: Soaking up the moment?
1.LUCIANA: It is a rare thing for someone of House Wayku to set foot on a planet, to feel dirt, stone, and sand under our feet, to see a bright atmosphere above.
1.Player: How can that be so?
1.LUCIANA: We are a banished people with no homeworld, forbidden from setting foot on any other homeworld.
1.1.Player: No House deserves such a punishment. 1.2.Player: I'm certain the Imperium's punishment was just and warranted.
1.1.LUCIANA: Your sympathy is appreciated. I wept when I first touched my feet to earth and looked up at the sky. 1.2.LUCIANA: No one ever speaks so authoritatively as they do from a place of ignorance.
1.Player: What are you doing way out here?
1.LUCIANA: I've never set foot on a planet prior to this. I don't want to be confined to a room or even a city. I want my feet to touch anything but a floor. I want to see a horizon. I want to see the vastness. I'll spend as much time out here as my duties permit.
2.Player: Tell me more about House Wayku.
2.LUCIANA:l'd like to tell you more about our culture, customs, and other particulars, but everyone inevitably wants to know why our House is without a home. The wake off the Third Coasack War left House Wayku's planets destroyed and our people prohibited from setting foot on any world in the Imperium. We made a deal with the Spacing Guild to receive sanctuary aboard their Heighliner starships, where we spend most of our lives.
2.1.Player: You really live the bulk of your lives among the stars? 2.2.Player: [NOBILITY] It is a sad thing for a noble to be without a proper home and domain.
2.1.LUCIANA: Many are born and die without ever leaving the void of space. The closest to a planet most get is to see one while in orbit. Though we lost much, House Wayku is yet proud enough not to fade away in the emptiness of space. We endure. 2.2.LUCIANA: Having no homeworld is sad for any person of any caste.
2.1.1.Player: What deal did you make with the Spacing Guild to grant you such sanctuary? 2.1.2.Player: What do your people do aboard the Guild Heighliners? 2.1.3.Player: I think I've heard enough on this subject. 2.1.4.Player: If you are exiled from all Imperium planets, how are you on Arrakis?
2.1.1.LUCIANA: To speak of the contract is to invalidate it. Until it is done. 2.1.2.LUCIANA: Anyone traveling via the Guild inevitably spends time on a Wayku frigate. We're sub-contracted to run mass-transit vehicles housed in the Heighliners. We tend the customers, selling sizzling meat sticks, spicy broths, and a rather strong drink we call stee. 2.1.3.LUCIANA: As you wish. 2.1.4.LUCIANA: My position offers me a rare exception to the rule. It is perhaps my strongest reason for wanting to serve the envoys of House Wayku.
2.1.4.Player: What does an existence entirely among the stars do to a House?
2.1.4.LUCIANA: You'll see many of my people wearing dark glasses and ear-clamp headsets. They prefer to control their own sensory input, a dissociative cacophony, if you will. They prefer the universe within themselves to whatever spectacle they might experience without.
