House Varota is a House Major, and one of the 25 voting Houses within the Landsraad.
It is part of the Cartel of Gaiety, a bloc of the Landsraad focused on Exploration. Corresponding Exploration Landsraad Missions may be completed on the House's behalf, increasing a player's weekly standing with the House.
Lore
House Varota was founded by Francesco Varota. Francesco was born on the planet Chusuk, known as the “Music Planet”. From humble roots as a baliset maker, Francesco garnered the favor of Padishah Emperor Almerach III as an Imperial Musician, resulting in the elevation of his House from lesser status.
House Varota wields soft power, specifically specializing in the arts, so much so that their home planet of Chusuk is now known as an “oasis for the arts, culture, and learning”.

We arrested the Siridar-Earldom of Chusuk from House Mandervotd in the ninth millennium. We seize the day. We charm destiny itself!
