House Ecaz
House Ecaz is one of the Major Houses of Landsraad. Players can interact with them and complete weekly objectives and earn rewards.
House Lore
House Ecaz is the ruler of the planet Ecaz, the fourth planet of Alpha Centauri B. The planet is the source of the famous Fogwood and Elacca wood. They trade mostly in pharmaceuticals and are the manufacturer of Semuta. While nominally aligned with the Atreides, the Harkonnens are a major customer of theirs so they must remain as neutral as they can.

Envoy Dialogue
Dren Silar: "Heeey, heeey. You look like you need to relax. You like semuta? I've got plenty. Legal too. Advantage of diplomatic immunity."
Player: Tell me about yourself
Dren Silar: "Me? Dren Silar - second cousin twice removed to Lady Caranda, ruler of House Ecaz. Cousin Car - I call her that - sent me here to keep an eye on things."
Player: What things?
Dren Silar: "You know, the whole War of Assassins. Cousin Car says our alliance with the Atreides can't be allowed to drag us down too far. So I watch and wait."
Player: So your house is allied with the Atreides?
Dren Silar: "Yeah, Ecaz and Atreides go way back! Don't mind telling you they really saved our ass when house Moritani moved against us. Bad scene. The Moritani and the Harkonnens are thick as thieves, so naturally we're cozy with the Atreides. But House Harkonnen is one of our best customers so you can't just write them off. Circles within circles, right?"
Player:
1.And you're here to keep track of those circles?
2.What do the Harkonnen buy from you?
[1]Dren Silar: "Oh, yeah. I mean, my main job is to find friends who can help out House Ecaz. Gotta look out for the homeworld. You know what I'm saying?"
[2]"Drugs! Most of their army runs on 'em. Raw Elacca for ferocity. Semuta to make them forget how much their life sucks. So anyway, you see it's a fine line we have to walk. House Ecaz is in need of all the friends we can get."
Player: And what could these "friends" expect in return?
Dren Silar: Well, our support in the Landsraad for one. You scratch our backs, we'll scratch yours. The usual thing.
Player: Tell me more about House Ecaz
Dren Silar: House Ecaz - we're known for our jungles and forests, our arts, and our...pharmaceuticals. We're ruled by lady Caranada - after the Archduke retired. Lady Car's main focus has been trying to get the planet back in balance after a bunch of bioweapon attacks that played hell with the ecology. That and getting some revenge, of course. It's not all bad though, we're still known as the sculpture's paradise - thanks to our native fogwood.
Player: What's Fogwood?
Dren Silar: It's crazy stuff! It's a tree that's sensitive to human thought. A talented sculptor can make a work of art just by thinking about it! I really wanted to be a Fogwood sculptor when I was growing up.
Player: What happened?
Dren Silar: My teachers all said I lacked the right kind of mind for Fogwood. So I settled for a different kind of fog, if you know what i mean. Heh.
