Base Maintenance
Base shields are powered by Power Generators.
Sandstorms
Sandstorms degrade the durability of building pieces, when they are unshielded.
For example, if you run out of power by depleting your supply of fuel cells or lubricant, all the building pieces within your subfief become unshielded and exposed to sandstorms.
Building inside caves and enemy bases will not provide shelter.[1]
Caves, rock formations, sand, and terrain do not replace building pieces.
For example, while caves can provide a shelter for your character during storms, they do not provide sufficient protection to your base and all of its contents, when it is not water-sealed. You'll need to be place walls or other pieces that intersect with caves, to ensure your base is water-sealed, even if you have sufficient power.
Similarly, if your foundation pieces extended beyond the subfief limits in the sand or terrain, these pieces are will be unshielded and may collapse during sandstorms.
Some of the building features can be personalized, such as stability and building restrictions, within the singleplayer and self-hosted game modes as well as private servers.[1]
Power
Power produced by any Power Generators within a sub-fief will power any Placeable within the same sub-fief, regardless of where the Placeables are built.
PvP raiding
Within the PvP instance of the Deep Desert, any sub-fief located from Rows B to I will have its shields temporarily disabled following a sandstorm. The base Structures and other Buildables can be damaged by hostile players during that period.
Handheld Building Tools
Construction Tool
- The Construction Tool is used to design bases and place Buildables.
- The Construction Menu can be expanded to switch between Placeables, Decorations and Building Sets. The chosen set will determine which Buildables can be selected.
- The Favorites tab is customizable and can contain up to 20 entries. It will always be visible regardless of what set is chosen.
- The amount of building materials refunded when deconstructing any piece depends on its remaining durability remaining, with full durability providing a full refund.
- Construction costs in the Deep Desert are halved.
Base Reconstruction Tool
Solido Replicator
- The Solido Replicator can be used to create a solido blueprint of a targeted base. This does not remove the existing base but allows you to place a solido copy of the base elsewhere to be reconstructed.
Customization
Some Placeables can be customized using compatible swatches.

Notes
- Do note that piece names for Structures and Decorations found on our wiki may not match their in-game ones exactly. We felt that it would be more useful for readers if we have standardised naming across all sets, so that similar pieces can be easily identified.
