Ariste "Ari" Atreides is the daughter of Duke Leto and Lady Jessica. It's a pivotal character for Dune Awakening's Lore as the main change from Frank Herbert's original Dune Lore timeline is the birth of Ariste instead of Paul. This is clearly stated in the main game intro movie. Jessica decision to follow Bene Gesserit's orders to give birth to a female (Ariste) instead to a male (Paul) had Jessica being trained as Truthsayer thus discovering Doctor's Huey's betrayal time ahead and bringing to a full scale War of the Assassins on Arrakis between Atreides and Harkonnen. Due to this instability the Emperor called for a pogrom and deployed Sardaukar troops to purge the Fremen menace as spice production was already hampered by the political instability.
