Dialogue
Investigate the Wreck of the Hephaestus
Dashing noble: Hail the conquering hero! Dashing noble: Hello? Dashing noble: It's safe to come out now. The enemy is vanquished. The day won... Dashing noble: Well, then. Dashing noble: When one sends out a distress call, the least one could do is stay around to be rescued!
- After the Player picks-up Ixian Decoder, beside a Solido Projection of a globe.
Dashing noble: Well she's clearly not here... Dashing noble: My sources were either wrong or just unreliable. Though the distress signal was real enough... Dashing noble: Apparently my princess -
Solido Projection: Oh, the Galacian Girls. Solido Projection: Will do it for pearls. Solido Projection: And the Arrakeen for water! Solido Projection: But if you desire dames. Solido Projection: Like consuming flames. Solido Projection: Try a Caladanian daughter.
- The Solido Projection changes shape and turns into a green tinted projection of Gurney Halleck.
Dashing noble: Gurney Halleck. Gurney Halleck: Do I have the honor of addressing Feyd Rautha? Gurney Halleck: I was watching you on the trans-eye, boy. Gurney Halleck: When the suboids ran wild, we suspected Harkonnen interference. Gurney Halleck: So I laid a little trap of my own.
- The Dashing Noble appears as Feyd Rautha in the dialogue.
Feyd Rautha: Where is the girl? Gurney Halleck: You fool, the ship was carrying a different cargo. Gurney Halleck: She was never even here. Gurney Halleck: And she doesn't belong to you. Feyd Rautha: The betrothal remains, Halleck. A signed and sealed agreement. Feyd Rautha: Or do the Atreides no longer keep their word? Gurney Halleck: Oh, to the letter, Harkonnen. But unlike my Lord Duke. I've seen the slave pits of Giedi Prime. Gurney Halleck: Atreides don't sell Atreides. Feyd Rautha: You'd stand against the will of the Sisterhood. Gurney Halleck: I won't need to. No groom. No wedding.
- Gurney's projection presses a handheld detonator.
Gurney Halleck: I have triggered the explosives that I attached to the fuel chambers of the ship. Gurney Halleck: You have a moments to live. Gurney Halleck: Goodbye.
Trivia
- Halleck's Pick: A sword, similar to the worn by Gurney, bears his name and can be used by the Player.
- Longhaul cosmetic variant: A stillsuit inspired by the one worn by Gurney Halleck in Dune: Part Two is included in the Filmic Archive Cosmetic Pack.
- Gurney wrote a song about the crooked road that leads to Arrakis, according to Alastair Christian Chim.
- Gurney mentions having watched Feyd-Rautha on the trans-eye. Similarly, Water Shipper also used a trans-eye to watch the Player using a trans-eye during The Water Fat journey.
- On board the Wreck of the Hieronymus, Captain Grobian considered Gurney to be at the center of a vast conspiracy
- A Solido Projection also turns into a character during the Digging Deeper journey. However, it has a blue tint. Gurney's projection is the first one to have a green tint in-game.
