Ricerca è il principale sistema di prograssione che consente al giocatore di sbloccare nuovi livelli di equipaggiamento per la creazione, come anche Buildables per strutture.

Informazioni è la valuta che si usa per ricercare nuovi diagrammi. Punti Informazioni sono ottenibili in due modiː

• Salire di Livello il personaggio del giocatore, anche se questo si ferma al Livello 125.
• Collezionando Informazioni a Avamposti Nemici e in Stazioni Sperimantali del Deserto Alto, che si ripristinano settimanalmente.

Esiste un massimo della quantità di Informazione uguale al numero di punti necessari per ricercare tutti i diagrammi disponibili. Questo massimo aumenta quando nuovi diagrammi ricercabili sono aggiunti.

Diagrammi Ricercabili

Ogni livello ha un prequisito minimo di Informazioni Spese. Una volta raggiunto, i diagrammi di quel livello diventano disponibili per la ricerca, a meno che non abbiano prequisiti specifici, come il completamento di un Viaggio specifico.
